Did we mention that we are obsessed with Frye footwear? It is so hard not to be. With each new collection they produce, they have us swooning. We aren’t the only ones who feel that way. Apparently so does everyone else. Did you know that The Frye Company is the oldest continuously run shoe company in the United States? The company was founded in 1863 and has an incredibly long history. We are surprised that we didn’t learn about them in the schoolbooks considering how far back this name goes.
Pioneers and servicemen in World Wars wore Frye boots. It’s safe to say that they are of high quality and are made to withstand wear and tear. When you add a pair of them to your closet, you know that you are getting something that can be worn over and over again, which means that you will get a lot of bang for your buck. Not only that, but you will are a part of American culture when you wear Frye. The Smithsonian Institute even displays a pair of Frye boots as a product that represents America in the 1960’s. How cool is that?
For a great everyday pair, we love any of Frye boot designs that are above the ankle. This is because you can wear it under or over your pants. There are plain designs to choose from, as well as embellished ones if you want to add a twist to your look. Another great pair of shoes that you will love wearing are their flats and loafers. They can be worn with multiple kinds of outfits from maxi dresses, to shorts and tanks. Frye also makes fabulous riding boots that will never go out of style. We want to buy one of each. Some of our fave ways to wear them are with mini skirts or skinny jeans.
